Journal Release: Active structural acoustic control using an experimentally identified radiation resistance matrix
ISLNE researchers have published a new journal paper: “Active structural acoustic control using an experimentally identified radiation resistance matrix” published by the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.
This paper , co-authored by PhD researcher Joseph Milton and his supervisors, Dr Jordan Cheer and Professor Steve Daley , follows on from the team’s previous publication, “ Experimental identification of the radiation resistance matrix ”, and presents a novel Active Structural Acoustic Control (ASAC) strategy for the control of structurally radiated noise. Using the experimentally identified radiation resistance matrix, this strategy is able to achieve effective control of the sound field radiated from a flat plate, using only structurally located error sensors and actuators.
