Dr Meixian Song speaks at Chinese conference
Dr Song attended the Ninth International Conference on Maritime Law in Shanghai between 28th October and 31 October as hosted by China Maritime Law Association and organized by Shanghai Maritime University.
The theme of this Conference was “The Development, Reform and Innovation of the Ideas, Systems and Regimes of Maritime Law in the New Era”. This is a prestigious conference in maritime law held every three years and Dr Song presented her paper ‘Improving Charterparty Quality and Ship Performance through Contractual Terms and Legal Intervention’ at the conference.
While in China Dr Song also gave lectures at three law schools. She spoke on ‘The Use of Information Technology and the Development of Shipping Law’ at Shanghai Maritime University Law School for their postgraduate students, and also to Dalian Maritime University Law School to LLB, postgraduate and oversea students at DMU. The final talk was an introduction to maritime law at DUFE Law School (Dongbei University of Finance and Economics).
