Richard Holt is Professor in Diabetes & Endocrinology in the Human Development and Health Academic Unit. In this lecture he will describe his academic interests in diabetes and growth hormone and how these have led him on a diverse journey to develop a test for growth hormone abuse in professional athletes, while improving the physical health care of those with mental illness.
