Scholarships 2020/21: Engineering Foundation Year

Here is the list of scholarships available at the University of Southampton Malaysia. These scholarships are open to both Malaysian and non-Malaysian applicants and are bond-free. These scholarship do not include living expenses.

Dean's Progression Scholarships	Successful progression onto an undergraduate programme at University of Southampton Malaysia.	10% reduction of Year 1 tuition fees for all students with a minimum overage of 80% in the foundation year. 20% reduction of Year 1 tuition fees and guaranteed summer internship for students with a minimum average of 85% in Foundation Year  100% reduction of Year 1 fees and guaranteed summer internship for students with an average of 90% and above in Foundation Year
Children of Alumni	Dependant of Southampton alumni	10% reduction in tuition fees
Sibling Scholarship	Sibling of current students/alumni (either UK or Malaysia Campus)	10% reduction in tuition fees

Terms & Conditions for Top Achiever Scholarships:

• Scholarship is non-transferable and only applies whilst the recipient remains a registered, full-time, active student at the University of Southampton Malaysia for the duration of the programme.
• Scholarship recipients must complete years 1 & 2 of the Undergraduate programme at the University of Southampton Malaysia after completion of the Engineering Foundation Year.
• The recipient will need to refund the scholarship amount in full in the event of a change of university.
• Scholarships do not include living expenses and are a reduction of fees.

Remarks:

• The scholarship options cannot be compounded.  Only the financial incentive with the highest amount will apply.
• All applicants eligible for the scholarship are required to pay the RM1,000 deposit to confirm their place at University of Southampton Malaysia. The deposit is used for tuition fee payment of a subsequent year (Year 1 or Year 2), and is not refundable should a student decide to leave the university prior to graduation with a BEng or MEng degree, regardless of whether or not the student still qualifies for any financial incentive at University of Southampton Malaysia in a future year.
