University of Southampton launches on iTunes U

The University of Southampton has today launched on iTunes U site, a dedicated area of the iTunes Store (www.itunes.co.uk), that offers free educational content from leading educational institutions.

The University site can be viewed at www.southampton.ac.uk/itunes and will enable staff, students, and the public access to free video and audio content which can be downloaded for free on a computer (Mac or PC), iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

The University’s content features insight from student experience videos, case studies, filmed lectures, seminars and promotional compilations of research activity. Highlights of Southampton include:

Professor Debra Humphris, Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of Southampton, says: "The iTunes U site is a very important development for Southampton.
