The International SOLAS (Surface Ocean - Lower Atmosphere Study) Project is an international research initiative comprising of over 1500 scientists in 23 countries.

The project's primary objective is: "to achieve quantitative understanding of the key biogeochemical-physical interactions and feedbacks between the ocean and atmosphere, and of how this coupled system affects and is affected by climate and environmental change".
