Mrs Sarah Yarham

Sarah has a wealth of event management experience that includes large scale conferences, public festivals and training workshops. Since joining the University of Southampton in 2011, Sarah has overseen all of the Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences events, seminars and conferences.

Sarah’s current role includes managing the ‘Bringing Research to Life’ roadshow, organising the ‘Hands on Humanities’ day and the Southampton Science and Engineering Festival.

The "Bringing Research to Life" Roadshow includes touring up to 9 research-based activities each year to destinations including the Cheltenham Science Festival, BBC Countryfile Live and the Southampton’s Mela festival.

Current activity extends to impact enhancement, as well as core activities for Public Engagement with Research (PER) and supporting researchers and staff, plus promoting a culture of public engagement with research across the Centre and the wider Network.

Sarah is a qualified youth worker with a passion for working with young people and enjoys meeting people from all walks of life.
