The University of Southampton
Public Engagement with Research

Bringing Research to Life Roadshow

The annual ‘Bringing Research to Life Roadshow’ is designed to help researchers develop effective ways of sharing their work with the public.

We tour both regional and national events between May and September and visit a wide variety of events. In a typical year we work with research groups from across the University and reach 20,000 people.

The aims of the Roadshow are:

1/ To provide a research showcase for impact and public engagement
2/ To provide experiential research communication training
3/ To engage a wide variety of audiences
4/ To increase visibility to key partners
5/ To connect researchers across disciplines
