Pro + | £ 5000 pa (min 3 year research project)

Policy Pro gives your research project the resource of the PPS team 0.5 days a week for the duration of your project. This enhanced engagement offers all of the benefits outlined in the Pro section above, plus facilitation of multiple meetings with policy stakeholders allowing you to meet with government, opposition parties, NGOs and civil society.  To achieve this we support the crafting of various messages to different audiences based on a continuously updated policy analysis document. We deploy various methods to get your message out including data visualisation, video, audio podcast, engagement with media, and contribution to relevant government/parliamentary inquiries. We provide capacity raising policy engagement sessions to your team insuring ongoing policy sustainability. We coordinate policy impact work for the project as a whole, working with all project partners (not just UoS). We join relevant project meetings and become, in effect, a full Co-I responsible for the policy impact work package of the project. Our long term involvement and connections across the political spectrum will ensure that your work stands the best chance of maintaining relevance throughout the duration of the project, regardless of civil service staff changes, new government policy documents, parliamentary inquiries, reshuffles and elections.
