The WSI will be hosting the WSTNet Web Science Summer School this year at the University of Southampton between 8-13 September.

Each year the WSTNet Web Science Summer School (WWSSS) aims to offer participants the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and experience in the core subjects of Web Science. WWSSS is non-profit and participation fees are kept at a minimum to allow students from all over the world and diverse backgrounds to participate.

The Theme for this year is 'Web Science and AI for Future Society'. Web Science is the study of people and technologies, applications, processes and practices that shape and are shaped by the World Wide Web, the largest socio-technical infrastructure in human history. Researchers in Web Science draw together theories, methods and findings from across academic disciplines, and collaborate with industry, business, government and civil society in order to develop our knowledge and understanding of the Web.
