A Global Organisation

Our academics are taking the message about the WSI and our research to all corners of the globe through a broad range of international visits and activities.

WSI Directors deliver keynote talks and lectures about Web Science and Artificial Intelligence around the world, and our Web Science students take part in research partnerships to build links with other organisations.

We are host to the Web Science Trust (WST) - a registered charity that aims to support the global development of Web Science. In July 2020 we hosted the 12th ACM Web Science Conference, and in June 2021 we hosted the 13th ACM Web Science Conference (both virtually), which saw over 270 people, from as far afield as China and the USA, joined the virtual five-day event to focus on Globalisation, Inclusion and the Web in the Context of COVID. You can watch the highlights from the conference below.
