Education

Southampton academics have played a pivotal role in the development of the Web over the last 30 years, including being at the forefront of the development of the innovative discipline of Web Science.

As the Web continues to evolve, so do the opportunities to help shape its future and we have a vast range of experience in education and training.

We are home to the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT), which currently has around 170 PhD students and offers fully funded studentships in Web Science. And our range of Continuing Professional Development courses (CPD) in Data Science, primarily targeted at professionals requiring general as well as sector related skills, were developed in partnership with the Cambridge Education Group.
