Held between 15-18 August, 'UK AI Week in Bangkok' was hosted by the British Embassy to facilitate discussions on AI governance and applications. Clare, who is Director of Education at the Institute of Analytics was invited to participate in a policy event delving into various topics around regulation, governance and impact and was also a guest speaker at the TechSauce Global Summit event, where she gave a talk about issues of bias in women’s health data, and education ways forwards to ensure as a nation, Thailand is ready. About the event Clare said; ‘We don’t need every nation to agree to regulate and we will never get to that point. But it makes sense when countries with shared interests agree to take action to protect their citizens from some aspects of the emerging field of data analytics that should be taken off the table. It’s enough to get started when some countries are willing to work together on this.
