Biological Sciences September Open days 2014!

Published: 20 August 2014

Visiting the University is a great opportunity to see the campuses and find out what it’s really like to live and study here

Every year we have two open days where you can walk around and view our state-of-the-art student facilities. The tours visit the Hartley Library, Jubilee Sports Centre, Students’ Union and a hall of residence and of course the cutting-edge facilities of our Biological Sciences department, including our world-leading Life Sciences building.

Our Open day will be held on:

  • Friday 5 September
  • Saturday 6 September

Book now, registration is essential.

State-of-the-art facilities

Biological Sciences, Southampton

Our £50million Life Sciences building has been home to the Centre for Biological Sciences since autumn 2010. Situated on the Highfield Campus, the building creates a dynamic, collaborative environment for our students, giving them access to the very latest technologies.

During your Open Day tour you will be able to visit our laboratories in the impressive Life Sciences building. They are among the best teaching facilities in the UK. Our teaching staff and students will be on-hand to give you a tour of our facilities, engage you in subject specific talks and answer any questions you have. Our student ambassadors will tell you what it's like to study and live in Southampton. Many are part of our student sports clubs and societies and will be able to give you guidance on the activities they run over the course of the academic year.

Teaching Labs

We warmly invite you to attend one of our Open Days as we are enthusiastic about meeting you and think you'll like what you find here. Our next undergraduate Open Day will be held on the 5 and 6 September this year. We would love you to join us!
