Biological Sciences Staff vs Students Charity Football Match for Comic Relief Event

BSPS and Biosoc Football are excited to announce our first staff vs undergraduate students charity football match on Sunday the 22nd of March. This friendly competition will put the undergraduate Biological Sciences football team against a mixture of PhD students, lecturers, technicians, research staff and more in a hotly contested affair, all in the name of Comic Relief. We would really appreciate any support on the day as it should be a fun occasion for those around the department.

The event is hopefully going to be a 1st of an annual charity competition that will coincide with Comic Relief and Sport Relief (alternately) each year. The aim is to bring the department together for a bit of fun whilst raising some money for a good cause.

The match will kick-off at 13:00 at Wide Lane Sports Ground with warm-ups starting at 12:30. Getting to the ground is easy, with the U1A uni-link stopping at Southampton Airport Parkway Station, the sports complex is a short walk over the rail bridge and on the other side of the road (Wide Lane).

There will be a variety of fundraising activities in the lead up to the event and on the day for comic relief, so please stay tuned.
