The Environmental Sequencing Facility provides a range of next-generation sequencing and analysis services using the latest cutting-edge technologies. Our experienced staff offer a wealth of knowledge in this field and understand the complex requirements of modern research environments.

Staff

Alison Baylay, a post-doctoral research fellow, specialises in developing methods and pipelines for marine metagenomic and transcriptomic studies using the illumina sequencing platform. Nicola Pratt, a Senior Research Technician, supervises the marine biology technical team and provides technical support in a wide variety of research areas. Dr Phylllis Lam  - Associate Professor in Microbial Biogeochemistry within the School of Ocean and Earth Science.
