Dr Paul Williams PhD, MSc, BA (Hons)
Principal Teaching Fellow of Marketing
Paul Williams is a Principal Teaching Fellow in Marketing at the Southampton Business School.
Dr. Paul Williams joined the Southampton Business School in September 2020. He completed his PhD in Marketing, from the University of Western Australia in 2004, and MSc in Practice of Education, from the University of Surrey in 1995. Paul brings over 30 years experience in academia, and has also worked in business with firms such as KPMG, PwC and McKinsey. While Paul is originally from the UK, he has worked overseas in Hong Kong, the Middle East, and Australia.
With broad experience as a teacher, researcher, and consultant, Paul is passionate about creating a highly-engaging learning experience for students of marketing. In addition to bringing a real-world practical perspective to the classroom, Paul believes in challenging students to reach their highest academic potential. He has also won a number of awards for his teaching.
Paul is also an active researcher and has published over 50 refereed articles in leading academic journals, and has presented his work at many international conferences. Paul’s research interests include the drivers of customer satisfaction and loyalty in different service industries including: banks, retail, universities, tourism, and building services.
Paul is also a member of the Academy of Marketing, and is a qualified AACSB academic accreditation reviewer, mentor and consultant.
