Opportunities to work for CHEP

Academic Staff Developers (Research and KEE)

Experienced Research OR Knowledge Exchange &/or Enterprise practitioners required to deliver institution wide staff development role at the University of Southampton.

Applications are invited for 2 academic development posts within the team – one to focus on supporting knowledge exchange and enterprise activities of staff and the second to focus on supporting research activities of staff. Whilst there are many ways of defining Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise, the University of Southampton interprets these terms widely to include any collaborative, creative endeavours that translate knowledge and research into impact in society and the economy. This includes significant work with business and industry, but also public engagement, policy engagement, life-long learning etc. We are very proud to have achieved an excellent KEF outcome. 

The appointments are 2 years fixed term and are available from May 2022. Funding is currently being sought to make these posts permanent. 

These opportunities are available at level 5 and as full-time roles, part-time and/or as part of a job share. We are interested in applications from individuals from 0.6 FTE and above. About You

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research, knowledge exchange and/or enterprise practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team and use their knowledge and expertise to help expand and enhance our institution-wide support for staff undertaking research, knowledge exchange and enterprise activities. The post-holders will contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of professional development and strategic major project activities offered by CHEP to support the realisation of the University of Southampton’s Strategy (in particular, the People, Research & Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise strategies). The roles focus on professional development to support research, knowledge exchange and enterprise activities of staff at all stages of their career, however there will be opportunities to contribute to the wider Academic Practice remit of the Centre.
