Our library visit days offer students an invaluable opportunity to explore evidence and sources for their HPQ/EPQ project-work, as well as the chance to experience the research facilities they will have access to at university.
We begin the visits with a library induction, before offering students access to our library catalogue and resources.
Students can explore a wide range of supporting material for their projects including:
- Academic books
- Journal articles
- Newspaper and media archives
- PhD theses
- Working papers published by University staff
- Official publications and data sources
Visits can run across a day, or a morning/afternoon, though we recommend students are given enough time in the library to explore it thoroughly. Given the quantity of material held by the library the visits are most suitable for students who have already narrowed their research topics and research questions.
