“I completed my undergraduate degree in Medicine and wanted to learn more about public health and nutrition. I enrolled on the MSc Public Health Nutrition programme at the University of Southampton because of its good reputation in the field. I am pleased to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Medicine.

“Programme tutors were friendly, approachable and always there to help.”

The facilities were excellent. I especially loved the libraries at the Highfield and General Hospital campuses – there was always a good study space. Programme tutors were friendly, approachable and always there to help.

I took some English classes for international students offered by the University. They really helped me improve my academic writing skills which was crucial for the course, as most of the assignments were reports and essays.

After completing my MSc, I have worked in public health research for three years and am currently doing my PhD in Population Health Science. In the longer term I want to work on projects that make real impact in public health. I would definitely encourage others to enrol on postgraduate courses at Southampton. The knowledge and skills that I have developed during my time in Southampton will undoubtedly go a long way.”
