The MASCC meeting is unique in taking a multidisciplinary approach to topics in supportive cancer care. The 2018 meeting will feature plenary sessions on cannabinoids for symptom management and cancer therapy, post-chemotherapy cognitive impairment, and cardiac toxicities secondary to cancer therapies. These topics span a range of specialties and allied professions, enabling the whole team to come together to discuss issues of mutual interest on a global platform. Themed pre-conference workshops will provide another opportunity for in-depth discussions on many areas of side-effect management. In addition, mentored sessions for poster presenters will provide guidance from world leaders for our experts of the future.

Doctor Samantha Sodergren , Macmillan Survivorship Research Group, University of Southampton. Sam will be presenting two e-posters, one on "Supportive care needs of patients following treatment for colorectal cancer: results from the UK colorectal wellbeing (CREW) cohort study" and another on "Developement of a health-related quality of life questionnaire specifically for people with anal cancer treated with chemoradiotherapy; The EORTC QLQ-ANL27".
