Our postgraduate geophysical students develop a broad range of geophysical skills and a wide knowledge of current research in the geophysical sciences as well as a wealth of other transferable skills.
Our postgraduates have found careers in geophysics as seismologists and field observers, working either overseas or in the UK with companies involved in the acquisition, processing and interpretation of geophysical data, mainly in connection with hydrocarbon and mineral exploration. Others have become well-logging engineers, computer programmers, meteorologists, marketing executives and teachers.
