Event details

Over three days, Nuffield will curate a mini festival of debates, performances and panel discussions between cultural figures, social commentators and world class scientists with work from two of the UK’s most innovative theatre companies. 'Music and Memory' is one of these events.

Dr. Tim Wildschut, Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Southampton and a member of the Centre for Research on Self and Identity discusses the interplay between music and nostalgia. Starting from the unintentional and sometimes bizarre associations between memory and musical stimuli, they will explore self, memory and the psychological side effects of art. Further guest speakers to be announced in due course.
