Who we are

Psychology at Southampton plays a major role regionally and globally. In the UK we are involved in training educational, clinical and counselling psychologists, while around the world our research is having a direct impact, attracting millions of pounds of funding and facilitating a stimulating research environment that inspires our students.

Psychology at Southampton has a tradition of world class research, with 100% of our research rated world leading or internationally excellent for its societal impact and for our research environment, according to our REF 2014 results

Within Psychology there are over 400 undergraduate students, and over 150 postgraduate students. All are supported by 100+ staff within an enjoyable learning environment in which library resources, excellent online resources, and friendly personal tutors help students achieve their potential
