Canadian students have the ability to borrow government loans through their province. All questions about applications should be directed to the relevant province.
How to apply for a Canadian Loan
To check if you are eligible for a student loan or grant and find out how to make an application please visit the website for further information.
- In order to apply for a loan you will need the University of Southampton institution code. This is PUCF.
- You will need to apply to the province/territory where you live as a permanent resident and then follow the specific regulations for that province when you make your application.
- An application must be made for each full year of study. You can apply by hard copy or online. Hard copy applications can take between four to six weeks to process.
- If successful you will receive a Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA).
- You must sign this to agree the terms and conditions and then once we have confirmed your enrolment the money will be released to you.
- If you have an OSAP, Appendix 3, or Alberta form for completion, please send this to the Student Hub studenthub@soton.ac.uk
- If you have a TL11A form for completion, please send this to stufunds@soton.ac.uk
- The University cannot complete the T2202 form as this is solely for use in Canadian Institutions.
