iPhD students celebrate successful MSc year

The CDT’s final cohort of students passed their MSc Web Science with flying colours and received their awards at the University's Winter Graduation ceremony.

All the students have progressed into their first year of PhD study, and are embarking on their interdisciplinary research under the joint supervision of academic staff from two or more disciplines.

Their current topics include:

  • The digital landscape and public perception of the threat of terrorism
  • The role of the Web in radicalisation and counter-radicalisation activities
  • Mobile data visualisation for diet-related interventions
  • Online facilitation of language learning
  • Artificial Intelligence diffusion and adoption in SMEs
  • Online Memory Communities
  • The impact of music streaming services on musical genres
  • Creative text generation and the Web
  • The impact of E-democracy in local administrations
