Professor Justin Davies is an Honorary Professor in Paediatric Endocrinology within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton.

Dr Davies graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1993. He trained in paediatric endocrinology at the University Hospital of Wales, Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Bartholomew's and Royal London Hospital. In 2004 he was awarded an MD for his thesis on the effects of chemotherapy on osteoblast function.

Dr Davies is the service lead for Paediatric Endocrinology at Southampton and the European Reference Centre lead at Southampton for both Endocrinology and Rare Bone Disease. He was elected Chair of the British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (BSPED) (2016-2020). His previous national roles include Secretary of the British Paediatric and Adolescent Bone Group and Treasurer of the BSPED.

Dr Davies research interests include the clinical and molecular aspects of imprinting disorders (including Silver-Russell syndrome, Temple syndrome) and he leads the imprinting disorder service at Southampton. His other research interests are into childhood bone and mineral disorders, secondary osteoporosis and the impact of disease on body composition.
