Julie Parfitt - Career Practitioner for the Business School

Deciding what you would like to do after you graduate can sometimes seem like a daunting prospect. We work with academic staff and employers to provide a tailored service to help you explore your options and find out more about the various career paths you could take.

Each faculty has a linked Career Practitioner who works closely with staff and students to provide tailored events and information.

All of our practitioners and advisers are able to offer you careers information and advice through our Drop-in Service and workshops. During Drop-in you will see the duty adviser. If you are then referred to a longer 30 minute guidance appointment, you can request to see your subject's Career Practitioner.

Take a look below at some resources we have put together to get you started.

What do our Business School graduates do?

Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) Survey

If you are trying to decide what to do after University, you might find it helpful to look at what our graduates have done with their degree.

Six months after completing a course of study at the University of Southampton, we contact our graduates to find out where their journeys have taken them. See the data sheet below for an insight into what other Business School graduates have done.

See our dedicated DLHE pages for more information about the survey and how to complete it.

Our graduates go on to a host of diverse careers and pathways. Check out the Business School Alumni pages for an in-depth picture of some of our recent graduates.
