Findings:
Preliminary findings indicate that networking with senior FE leaders and reading journal articles are the two most popular development activities prior to appointment, followed in third place by mentoring from the existing college principal. Experiential forms of development -learning from experience- once in post, is highly rated in terms of both popularity and value.
