Careers & Employability

At the University of Southampton, we believe in providing our students with skills, experience and opportunities to help in acquiring a future career.

Through our Careers and Employability service, you are given guidance and support throughout your studies and including post-studies for up to three years after graduation.

Each summer, our Environmental Science students get involved with projects throughout the world, gaining experience for their CVs or collecting research and data for their student projects and dissertation work.

Each faculty provides ample opportunities to get involved in a wide range of programs that can help towards gainful employment. Find out more below.

The Southampton Education School’s graduates have gone on to become researchers, teachers, trainers, administrators, leaders and policy makers throughout the world. Whatever course of study you follow, your degree and the experience you gain with us will ensure you are on the right track to your chosen career path.

I chose Southampton University because it was recommended to me as outstanding by both colleagues and SEN advisors. I am currently Head of the Resourced Provision for SpLD, at The Wavell School in Farnborough. I work closely with the SENCO ensuring the academic and emotional well-being of the students both in the Resourced Provision and in the wider school.
