Miss Abby Bull BSc
Assistant Research Manager (ARM) in Research on Research (RoR), NETSCC

I am an Assistant Researcher Manager (ARM) for the Research on Research (RoR) programme which is an internal programme of work contracted through the NIHR, Evaluations and Trials Studies Coordinating Centre.
I joined NETSCC in February 2017 as an Assistant Research Manager (ARM) for the Research on Research (RoR) programme. As an ARM I am responsible for providing academic and administrative support to the RoR team in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement in ways of working, as well as supporting key RoR meetings. I contribute to research projects through activities such as data extraction, interviewing, collaborative liaison and dissemination activities.
Prior to joining NETSCC, I worked as a Marine Data Scientist with the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton. BODC is a national and international facility which oversees and distributes data concerning the marine environment, where my main responsibility focused on managing the entirety of GEOTRACES (an international biogeochemistry project) data from inception to completion.
Before my role at BODC I taught English as a foreign language at an International Language Academy in Vietnam. During this post I devised innovative and appropriate methods for teaching difficult English language concepts to non-native speakers.
