Catching liver disease in primary care before it's too late should be possible
I am a half time GP working locally in Southampton and half time academic within the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education. My main research interest is in the early detection of liver disease within the community. I trained as a medical undergraduate at the University of Southampton, and have held posts in academic child health and general medicine before commencing GP training. I completed my training as a GP in Bournemouth in 2012 having held a locally funded ACF post during my time as a GP Registrar.
