Tier 4 pilot scheme
The University of Southampton is pleased to confirm that it has been invited to join a select number of UK universities in the Tier 4 pilot scheme. This is due to our consistently low visa refusal rates.
This means that if you are a student applying for a Tier 4 (general) student visa to commence a full-time postgraduate masters programme of 13 months or less in duration, you will be given an additional 6 months on your visa after your programme end date (instead of 4 months). Eligible students will not have to submit academic qualifications or evidence of funds as part of their visa application. However, ATAS certificates and/or TB certificates (if applicable) will still need to be submitted. This applies to students starting their masters in the 2018/19 academic year.
