- UEB received a revised business case to develop and implement a University Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hub, a top priority of our Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise strategic plan. - UEB considered a paper on Supporting Staff Participation as Panellists in the Research Excellence Framework 2029. Research England will announce in Summer 2024 that they are recruiting for their expert panels for REF 2029. Participating as a panellist for the REF 2029 is an opportunity with significant benefits for both the individuals involved and our institution, aligning with ERE (Education, Research and Enterprise) responsibilities and our Research strategic plan. UEB warmly endorsed the outlined approach that will provide the necessary support to staff serving in this capacity.
- UEB noted the update on the Occupational Health Strategic Major Project. The procurement stage for the new provider has been completed and transition talks will take place to secure continuity of the service.
- UEB received one of our regular updates on our Strategic Major Projects Strategy Delivery and Transformation Portfolio. Updates were given on the status of all our Strategic Major Projects and this was accompanied by an update on the IT Portfolio.
The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday 6 August 2024.
