Nina is undertaking an iPhD in Web Science in the Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Science.

Nina’s work focuses on how memory is shared through cultural memory artefacts – specifically connective technologies (the Web).

Nina has worked in social policy for over two decades, and is drawing on all her previous work experience and degrees in shaping her current interdisciplinary iPhD in Web Science.

She has worked for chief executives and politicians on various local, regional and national projects.  But she is most proud of the direct support she has provided to service users, members of the public, and staff who have been facing difficulties.

Research interests

Memory and identity, collective memory, narrative, national memory, regional memory, transnational memory, borders and boundaries.

PhD supervision:

Dr Will Jennings, Deputy Head of School, Research and Enterprise, Professor of Political Science and Public Policy
Professor Pauline Leonard, Professor of Sociology, Director, Web Science Institute
