Accommodation for international and pre-sessional students

As anInternationalstudent, we will offer you a place in our accommodation if you meet the conditions of the accommodation guarantee.

Why stay in University accommodation?

Choosing to stay in accommodation managed by the University has lots of benefits, including:

  • no application fees - it costs nothing to make an application
  • no deposits for any of our accommodation
  • no guarantors required to accept a contract, making it easy and hassle-free to book with us
  • free airport transfer from London Heathrow Airport via the Meet and Greet service

Guaranteed accommodation for your pre-sessional English course

We provide a convenient, safe environment in which to settle into life in the UK, meet classmates and become part of our residential community.

Pre-sessional accommodation fees include:

  • a private single self-catered room in a flat of 6-8 rooms, sharing a large kitchen with other pre-sessional students
  • a bedding pack for you to keep including duvet (quilt), pillow, sheets and a towel
  • all bills, including heating, water, internet and basic contents insurance
  • a Unilink bus pass, and dedicated buses to take you from your accommodation to your classes

Contract lengths are designed to meet the dates of the 6- and 11-week pre-sessional English courses, and can be extended to join up with the start dates of accommodation contracts for the next academic year.

Applications for summer 2024 will open in April 2024.

Staying on in halls of residence after your pre-sessional English course

Many students apply for accommodation for their degree at the same time as applying for pre-sessional accommodation.

You need to apply by the deadline date of 1 July 2024, to secure a guaranteed place in our accommodation.

If you do not meet the conditions for your degree course, your accommodation booking is cancelled and any pre-payment refunded.

Private accommodation options

You may prefer to rent accommodation that is not managed by the University.

This may be in a shared house or in privately managed hall of residence. Find out more about private rented accommodation.
