Why stay in University accommodation?

Choosing to stay in accommodation managed by the University has lots of benefits.

Safe and secure accommodation

Our halls of residence have secure entrances and 24-hour security.

Free airport transfer

We offer a collection service from London Heathrow Airport the day before the start of your course.

Guaranteed rooms

We guarantee a room in University accommodation for all international students from outside of the EU. We offer single rooms, with 1 student per bedroom.

Good locations

Choose halls in the city centre or close to our campuses.

Live with your friends

You can apply for accommodation in a group with your friends. We’ll try and give you rooms next to each other.

Easy travel

You’ll have a Unilink bus pass to help you get around Southampton included as part of your halls contract.

Accommodation for your pre-sessional English course

Many of our students choose to stay in University halls of residence during their pre-sessional English course.  

  1. Choose the room you’d like.
  2. Use our online system to apply for your room.
  3. We’ll confirm your room booking.

Staying on in halls of residence after your pre-sessional course

You can also live in University accommodation during your degree. You need to apply by 1 August in the year your degree starts to be guaranteed a place.
