Mr. Ram Kumar Venkateswaran is a Postgraduate Research Student within the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Southampton. Previously, Ram Kumar had worked as an Acoustics Engineer for automotive exhaust systems at Faurecia Clean Mobility, specialising on the design of mufflers and silencers. Ram Kumar holds a B. E. in Mechanical Engineering from the PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India.

Research interests

Duct Acoustics, Muffler acoustics.

PhD research

Title: Acoustic Source Location Techniques on Aircraft Engines

Supervisors: Dr. Phillip Joseph and Dr. Chaitanya Paruchuri

Funding: Rolls-Royce and Research Studentship within the faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, UoS.
