Kaihuang is a postgraduate research student at Geography and Environment Science, University of Southampton. His studies focus on innovative industry and finance capital in China.

Kaihuang graduated from Guangdong University of Finance and Economic (GDUFE) with a B.Sc. degree at major of Human Geography and Urban Planning. He got his Master degree from Guangzhou University (GZHU) where his supervisor is Prof. Qinglan Qian.

Research interests

His research interests are mainly on innovation economic geography, especially innovation networks, proximity mechanism, multilevel mechanism. He paid highly attention on China’s new energy vehicle industry, biomedical industry, and financial market.

His funded PhD research is about financing innovation in China’s biomedical industry.
