Mr Andrew Spiers is a Postgraduate Research Student in Applied Mathematics at Southampton University.

Andrew’s research is focussed on calculating second-order gravitational self-force to model Extreme Mass Ratio Inspirals (EMRIs). EMRIs occur when compact solar mass sized objects (such as black holes and neutron stars) fall into supermassive black holes.
