Mr Pablo Trucco Pignata is a postgraduate research student within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

Completed in 2017 a Master in Coastal Oceanography in the Instituto de Investigaciones Oceanológicas in Ensenada, México. Realised the dissertation on the influence of the 2015-2016 ENSO event in the biogeochemistry of the Tropical Pacific of Mexico’s Oxygen Minimum Zone.

Currently working towards a PhD in ocean carbonate chemistry in the Pacific part of the Southern Ocean, as part of the CUSTARD project.

Previous worked in consultancy agencies and in oceanic renewable energy.

  • Dynamics and drivers controlling the carbonate system over the ocean and coastal areas
  • Biogeochemical Modelling of carbonate system
  • International policy and governance options in Ocean Acidification
