Davide is a Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Southampton and recipient of a three-year Advanced Postdoc.Mobility grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (title of the project: The Unity of Reasons).  Before then Davide has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Geneva.

Research interests

Davide’s main research interests are in epistemology, ethics and the philosophy of mind. In particular he is interested in the following topics:

1. the nature of belief and its relation with truth and knowledge (the aim of belief),

2. the relations between knowledge, practical rationality and assertion,

3. Pragmatic Encroachment on knowledge,

4. the relations between epistemic and practical reasons and between reasons and rationality.
