Module overview
The module introduces the breath of the luxury industry from a cross-sector perspective from fashion, automotive, travel, fashion, art, yachting and new luxury emerging consumer categories such as wellness and cosmetic surgery. It also interrogates new and evolving concepts of what luxury is, for e.g. time being the biggest luxury of our time, experiences over possessions and new category choices to spend disposable income on. You will learn about the key categories within luxury business, market players, the economics of luxury. Gaining an understanding of the concepts and principles of contextual issues impacting luxury business such as sustainable and ethical practices, and the implications to how businesses need to operate today to manage the expectations of consumers led by the core principles of social and environmental sustainability.
