Module overview

Engineers use electrical and electronic principles to understand how voltage, current, and energy flow through circuits and devices. This module introduces core ideas you will rely on throughout your degree, building confidence in analysing basic circuits and components. You will explore electric charge, resistance, power, and simple circuit behaviour, learning how these concepts help you predict the response of electrical systems under different conditions. As you practise applying these ideas, you will begin to see how electrical and electronic principles support modelling, design, and engineering problem solving.
