Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• Introduce students to the process of evaluation and its relationship to training and development
• Have an understanding of evaluation methods in training and development
• Be able to effectively select and use a variety of evaluation methods
• Have knowledge of the main approaches to training and development
• Be able to read critically the current training and development literature
• Help students interpret and critique current research in the field of training and development
• Be able to engage critically with current models of training and formal learning
• Recognise and critique the major processes of training and development
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the models and theories that underpin training and development
• Be able to evaluate and critique your own training and development practices and understandings
