Research project: Promoting Attainment of Responsible Research and Innovation in Science Education (PARRISE) - Dormant

Currently Active: 

PARRISE is an EU funded project (FP7-SIS-612438) that run from 2014 to 2018 in which 18 European institutions worked together to develop a research-based framework for promoting responsible research and innovation through science education.

The project established an innovative educational framework called SSIBL - ‘Socio-Scientific Inquiry-based Learning’ to foster democratic citizenship in science education. The focus was on developing teacher professional development courses and best practices for incorporating SSIBL into teacher education programmes across Europe.
