Experience:
Umer Sheikh is a clinical academic who works as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner while also pursuing research and teaching responsibilities. He holds a BSc degree in Physiotherapy and started his career at Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital (GTTH) in Lahore. During his time there, he gained valuable experience in teaching and research and discovered his passion for Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He went on to complete his Masters (MSc) in Adapted Physical Activity on the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and was later awarded a scholarship to pursue his second Master's degree (MSc) in Advancing Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University.
With over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, Umer has held various roles ranging from consultant physiotherapist to Clinical Lead in both public and private healthcare sectors. He is dedicated to achieving excellence and improving the effectiveness and quality of care. Umer currently works with the award-winning iMSK Service at Ashford and St Peters Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
