Biography
I have been an amateur local historian since 1970. After retirement, I have spent much time on the history of Romsey and district in southern Hampshire, UK. I also catalogue digital images for the Romsey Local History Society, of which I was chairman for over 30 years. Currently about 36000 images have been catalogued. More are awaiting attention, but my degree work comes first.
My paid employment included 9 years of teaching maths at secondary schools and 20 years as an Excise Officer, therefore a Civil Servant. I retired in 1999 on reaching 60.
