Lin is a postgraduate researcher in Southampton Education School. Her research centres on gender stereotypes and educational inequalities in mathematics education. She is also interested in cross-cultural research and advanced quantitative methods in educational research.
Lin's doctoral research investigates how adolescents' perceptions of gender stereotypes shape mathematics achievement and motivational outcomes, with a particular focus on the application of large-scale datasets and mixed-methods research.
