Chipo Simbi is a Senior Teaching Fellow based at the University of Southampton’s Business School in the Department of Accounting. Chipo currently holds a Ph.D. In Accounting from Rhodes University. Chipo is a dedicated Researcher and Educator - seeking to develop her career in these arenas and contribute to knowledge creation; nurturing and advancing capable students who can contribute to society as professionals.
Chipo received a Masters Degree (M.Acc) in International Financial Reporting from the University of Zimbabwe in 2016 and has a first-class degree in Finance and a Bcom in Accounting. Prior to that, Chipo trained as an accounting teacher at the University of Zimbabwe. Chipo currently holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Rhodes University. Before joining the University of Southampton, she was an Accounting lecturer at Rhodes and the University of Zimbabwe. Chipo has administered national and international projects. She was the Rhodes University Mentorship Coordinator. Chipo also administers a national program called the National Emerging Scholars Program (NESP) in South Africa and an Erasmus-funded project called the Professionalisation of University Academic Teaching for Rhodes University (PUAT).
