I am a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (School of Psychology - University of Southampton) and a Chartered Clinical Psychologist working in independent practice.
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Lancaster University, where I collaborated with local researchers to publish articles exploring risk-taking behaviours in bipolar disorder.
I worked for the majority of my professional career in the National Health Service (NHS) as a Clinical Psychologist working with working age adults presenting with complex mental health difficulties. I have specialist training in EMDR and a specialist interest in trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches.
I left the NHS in 2023, to work part-time running my own independent practice and part-time in academia, taking a position of Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University, where I worked with students on projects relating to ED&I.
I joined the University of Southampton in 2025 as a Senior Teaching Fellow and EDI lead for the professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
I continue to work clinically in independent practice, primarily working with the LGBTQI+ community and people working in the performing arts. I also work with the BBC and ITV as a media psychologist, advising on a range of productions.
